New York outfit Interpol are offering fans a free preview of their new album – and you can listen to it now.
Amid the white heat of early Noughties New York, Interpol seemed obtuse and un-necessarily gloomy. After all, with The Strokes and DFA Records getting the party started why stand around clad in black?
As the decade progressed the band’s spectacular music seemed to make a lot more sense. Over the course of three albums Interpol have progressed into one of the most celebrated bands in the United States.
Taking time off after 2007’s ‘Our Love To Admire’ the members of Interpol indulged in some solo activities. Carlos D became an actor, while singer Paul Banks released an album of solo material.
Re-uniting last year, Interpol have apparently returned to the guitar noir of their debut album. Washed with reverb, the epic gloomy of their debut LP has become the band’s signature sound.
Due for release later this year, Interpol have decided to offer fans a special preview of their fourth album. The track ‘Lights’ is available from their official website with the New Yorkers also supplying a new widget (down below).
