Dutch club talent Ineffekt has shared colourful new bumper ‘The Light’.
The producer has made a real mark in his homeland, with debut album ‘Kora’ winning acclaim on its 2021 release. An EP followed last year, while Ineffekt has played a string of sets across the continent.
Linking with Intercept Records, new single ‘The Light’ is a real breakout moment, with its insistent rhythm – actually multiple rhythms overlapping – getting under your skin. Ineffekt has a gift for world-building, and the dulcet melodies are peppered with life.
Out now, there’s a contagious edge to ‘The Light’, coupled with a calm sense of assurance from the producer.

“For this new record it wasn’t so much going in and making music with a purpose. It leaned much more on songwriting and trying to find exciting rhythms that would catch the ear. The Light is the perfect example of that process. Taking inspiration from club music but approaching it with a songwriter’s mind. It’s a song from the heart, not the brain.”
