Indigo De Souza Announces New Album ‘Any Shape You Take’

Her golden new song 'Kill Me' is out now...

Indigo De Souza will release new album ‘Any Shape You Take’ on August 27th.

Out this summer via Saddle Creek, the new LP follows 2018’s 10-track debut release ‘I Love My Mom’. Once again featuring Brad Cook (Bon Iver, Waxahatchee) and Indigo herself on production duties, the record explores the human experience of change, which is something the North Carolina-raised artist is all too familiar with.

Touring alongside artists like Beach Bunny and Hippo Campus imbued a dominating stage persona into Indigo, and the growing audience of listeners garnered through these shows has brought the musician millions of listens since. This unique magnetism defines De Souza as a performer, and instilled a strength shown in the boundary pushing nature of ‘Any Shape You Take’.

The album announcement coincides with the dropping of lead single ‘Kill Me’, a track penned during the climax of a dysfunctional relationship and embedding the frustration of being tired of falling out of love within a composed and cool slack rocker.

An eccentric music video accompanies the song, directed by Jordan Alexander who explains: "We wanted to make a film about performance and stage an event that would get the crew and actors going. Cake sitting is this wonderful art form, rampant with metaphors of creation and destruction, engaging in equal parts with desire and disgust. It lends itself to the song and Indigo came over to test it out and was way better at it than I am."

Tune in below.
