Independent Label Market Toasts Christmas

Two day event confirmed

The team behind the Independent Label Market have a festive treat in store, with a two day event set to take place next month.

Christmas is a time for giving, for showing those around you just how much they contribute to your life, your well being. But when you get bored of that (as everyone always does) you can always go record shopping.

Thankfully, the Independent Label Market have something up their sleeve. The team have arranged a two day event – all cups of eggnog, roast chestnuts and the odd limited edition vinyl release tucked away inside your tote bag.

Running between December 1st – 2nd, the event features of host of returning labels including Bella Union, Brownswood, Fabric, Peacefrog, Heavenly, One Little Indian, Soul Jazz and Rough Trade. Newcomers include (deep breath) Acid Jazz, Believe, Fika. Tape Club, GETME!, Ground Level, Hottwerk, Infectious, !K7, Killing Moon, Laissez Faire Club, LoJinx, No Pain In Pop, Planet Mu, Stranger Records and Strut.

Set to feature plenty of limited edition, rare and otherwise unavailable items, the festive instalment of the Independent Label Market looks to be the perfect excuse for a little retail therapy amidst the madness of the festive season.

Meanwhile, the Independent Label Market have also confirmed a tie up with AIM which will allow them to continue to expand. Alison Wenham, AIM CEO had the following to say: “Joe and Katie came up with a simple, a great idea, and put it into practice. As AIM is the home of the world’s greatest indie labels, we are naturally delighted to be able to support the development of the Independent Label Market. We intend to do this in partnership with WIN, the Worldwide Independent Network, our global trade body."

Independent Label Market runs between December 1st – 2nd.
