IMVN has shared her new single 'The Door'.
The rising star hails from North West London, and grew up listening to her parent's fondness for R&B and neo-soul.
As a songwriter, she's drawn towards electronic tones, using digital production as a lens to bring her ideas into focus.
New single 'The Door' is a fine, enriching introduction, its voluminous sense of sound seeming to suggest remarkable intimacy.
Down-tempo and introspective, wisps of melody are conjured into a storm of emotion, with her mellifluous vocals reaching up to the heavens.
As she puts it…
"'The Door' is low-key. It exudes a mental state of indifference. It’s spoken from the perspectives of two people, one who doesn’t want responsibilities and lives in the moment; the other, who’s waiting to be taken seriously and not feel used by others. The Door is a conflict between two incompatible characters who haven’t yet realised it."
Tune in now.
