Punk pioneer picks up the Commander of the Order of Arts and Letters...
Iggy Pop

Iggy Pop has picked up one of the highest civilian honours in France.

The punk pioneer received the Commander of the Order of Arts and Letters medal from the French consul, in honour of his life and work.

The iconoclast has a longstanding love affair with French culture - 2009 studio album 'Préliminaires' was a collection of French language cover versions, and Iggy followed this in 2012 with 'Apres'.
