IDLES Have Covered Little Simz’ ‘Mood Swings’

For the Spotify singles series...

Bristol group IDLES have covered Little Simz track ‘Mood Swings’.

The band’s recent album ‘TANGK’ took IDLES to the top of the charts, melding their punk attack with electronics aspects on a rounded, creative record. CLASH reviewer Sam Walker-Smart wrote:

In forty minutes, the band not only reminds listeners why they became scene heroes but also why they’re one of the UK’s most thrilling exports. For our money, it’s another home-run of a record.

CLASH went deep with IDLES at the time, discussing the creative process behind ‘TANGK’, and the stability singer Joe Talbot has found in his life.

Set to headline Glastonbury’s Other Stage on the Friday night (June 28th), IDLES will top a bill that includes D-Block Europe and Anne-Marie.

The band then hit North America, before Autumn takes them back to the UK for a mammoth headline tour.

Ahead of this, IDLES have taken part in the Spotify singles series, sharing a live-in-the-studio take on ‘TANGK’ fan-favourite ‘Roy’.

Alongside this, IDLES have also blasted through their own inimitable take on Little Simz cut ‘Mood Swings’ – an act of respect from one influential British act to another, their take on the song is sure to spark conversation.
