Swedish indie poppers Ida Maria are set to tour the UK, in support of their new single “Queen of The World” – due out May 12th.
Arriving fully formed from their native Scandinavia, Ida Maria are the latest in a long line of twee indie pop to emerge from Sweden. Led by the famous Ida Maria herself, the band hark back to the late 80s indie scene dominated by The Sugarcubes and The Sundays, but with a shrewd post-Strokes knack for melody.
“Queen Of The World” is due to be released on May 12th. Ida Maria have announced the following UK dates:
