Ibeyi Share New Song ‘Juice Of Mandarins’

It's a gorgeous piece of soul-tinted music...

London group Ibeyi have shared their new song ‘Juice Of Mandarins’.

The project’s recent album ‘Spell 31’ landed back in May, and was rewarded with across the board praise. Forward-thinking neo-soul constructed from a UK perspective, Clash labelled the album “boundless” in our 8/10 review.

New single ‘Juice Of Mandarins’ continues their creative journey, and it was penned by Ibeyi’s Lisa-Kaindé. Richard Russell – XL Recordings founder – steps in on production, and the song aired recently through a stellar COLORS performance.

The finished recording is a carefully finessed slice of neo-soul, with Ibeyi once again proving to be one of UK soul’s most emphatic experiences. Lisa-Kaindé comments…

“‘Juice Of Mandarins’ is my favourite love song I’ve ever written. It is about the ecstasy of falling in love. The sensuality of allowing someone to see all of you. It’s about reality becoming supernatural. Love is the most radical life changing, meaningful experience, thus, “my love for you ain’t quiet”.”

Tune in now.
