Stone Roses frontman Ian Brown has appeared in court to testify against disgraced TV personality Fred Talbot.
The former weatherman taught geography in Altricham Grammar School for Boys from the 60s to 1984, before he was struck off for propositioning students at his home.
Fred Talbot was sentenced to five years in prison in 2015 for indecent assault against two former pupils.
The one-time weatherman is accused of eight counts of indecent assault, alongside one count of lewd, indecent, and libidinous behavior.
Ian Brown was taught by Fred Talbot, and appeared in court to testify against his former teacher – just as he did in the 2015 trial.
According to the BBC the singer told the court that Talbot attempted to abuse one of his friends during a Scottish camping trip in 1977 or 1978, removing the boy from the group and attempting to perform a sex act on him.
Brown's friend returned to the tent “in a state,” with the singer continuing: “Every time I saw him on TV I told people this story. I’ve told hundreds of people the same as I’m telling you here.”
The trial is ongoing.
