I Monster Confirm New Release

First album in six years

Sheffield electronic duo I Monster have confirmed they will release their first new album in six years.

Formed by Sheffield based producers Dean Honer and Jarrod Gosling, I Monster have always had a stuttering career. Debut album ‘These Are Our Children’ was released in 1997, and since then the group have only released material sporadically.

They did, however, find time to record what would become their signature track – a remix of The Gunter Kallmann Choir’s version of The Wallace Collection’s ‘Daydream’.

Titled ‘Daydream In Blue’ it would go on to become a cult favourite, and greatly raised the band’s profile for their second album ‘Neveroddoreven’.

Released in 2003, it was a laid back collection of wistful electronica but has been followed with nearly six years of silence.

New album ‘A Dense Swarm Of Ancient Stars’ was recorded in their hometown of Sheffield and features sixteen tracks. The band have discovered a diverse new talent of influences, with the duo currently currently compiling a selection of 1970s progressive rock from France and the Netherlands.

I Monster will release their new album ‘A Dense Swarm Of Ancient Stars’ on March 30th.
