Ed Sheeran is a somewhat unlikely global icon.
The unassuming ginger songwriter has enjoyed incredible, overwhelming success, a pop artist who maintains a certain magnetism amongst other artists.
New release 'No. 6 Collaborations Project' is out now, and it features everyone from Eminem and Young Thug to J Hus and Stormzy, a veritable who's who of international talent.
However that's not the only tribute that has been paid to Ed this week, with a colossal statue of the British artist appearing in Moscow’s Gorky Park.
It's an enormous - and somewhat surreal - construction, seemingly erected ahead of his appearance in Moscow this Friday (July 19th).
Here's a few photos.
Btw i have a friend in Russia, we’re not really friends, but he sent me russian tea once and greetings from his wife. That’s not what i want to comunicate tho, he saw a 5 meters Ed Sheeran statue built in a park in Moscow. Wow. pic.twitter.com/kC2DvCTXXh— Froy’s modern life (@FroyFroyFroy) July 16, 2019
