Hudson Mohawke has announced a free download, ‘Rising 5’, and news of his debut album ‘Butter’, due out in October on Warp Records.
With ‘Butter’ picking up where the ‘Polyfolk Dance’ E.P. left off, the much hyped Glaswegian has continued the melodies throwing a new pop sheen into the mix. Hudson claims that this album is his attempt to create songs and not just computer arrangements.
Taken from the album free track ‘Rising 5’ has an almost tropical sound, its glistening synths are as reminiscent of the golden era of hip hop as it is of his native dance music.
