Howie Combrink Shares Hazy New Song ‘Summer Sunshine’

"Summer represents the love of my life..."

South African artist Howie Combrink returns with ‘Summer Sunshine’.

The multi-instrumentalist hails from Johannesburg, an accomplished musician with a knack for collaboration. Having worked on a huge number of projects as a drummer and producer, Howie took the decision to go solo in 2013, and has never looked back.

Receiving three SAMA Award nominations in his home country, Howie Combrink has built a succinct yet varied catalogue, one imbued with strength and vitality.

The video taps into this, with its beatific, halo’d feel reflecting the countrified nature of the arrangement. Howie offers…

‘Summer Sunshine’ is a title that represents the happiness of summer and the way summer makes you feel. In this scenario, summer represents the love of my life and it is a reference to the idea that she makes me feel like summer. This is most certainly my favourite song I have ever put out.

Tune in now.
