Hastings trio HotWax have shared new single ‘Wanna Be A Doll’.
The band are a colossal live force, and their recent packed out UK run saw the three-piece preview a slew of new material. Supporting The Libertines and sleaze-rock merchants Warmduscher, HotWax brought their A-game to venues across the land.
Out now, ‘Wanna Be A Doll’ blends blues-driven riffs with a righteous sense of grunge, a sludgy rock belter informed by their rebel charm.
Laden with femme energy, HotWax are an untameable force, working from their own vantage points.
“This was the first song we wrote for the album, we rewrote it in so many different ways and it ended up pretty similar to the first version, which seems to be how it goes,” explains Tallulah Sim-Savage; “It’s a song where I am writing about myself from someone else’s point of view, being self aware of my bad – sometimes destructive – traits.”
‘Wanna Be A Doll’ comes complete with a video made by singer Tallulah Sim-Savage – tune in now.
