Hot 8 Brass Band have shared plans for new album ‘Big Tuba’.
The band are a force of nature, taking the New Orleans second line tradition into the 21st century. Firm festival favourites, their version of Marvin Gaye’s ‘Sexual Healing’ is a modern day dancefloor staple on multiple continents.
New album ‘Big Tuba’ continues their story, and it’s scheduled to land on February 28th via venerable label Tru Thoughts.
Out now, Hot 8 Brass Band have shared their take on ‘Ain’t No Sunshine’ – a fresh version of the Bill Withers soul classic, it acts as a tribute to founder Bennie Pete, alongside the loss of several influential women in the band’s lives.
