Horsegirl return with new single ‘Julie’.
The Chicago band’s exhilarating debut album won huge praise, with the long-awaited follow-up set to land early next year.
Out on February 14th via the fine people at Matador, ‘Phonetics On And On’ lifts Horsegirl to a new level. Frisky lead single ‘2468’ blazed a trail, with new track ‘Julie’ tapping into the more wistful, emotive aspects of their artistry.
A tale of relocation, new climes, and a different city, ‘Julie’ is a kind of off kilter love song set against a wintery landscape.
Amsterdam-based animator Daphna Awadish Golan stepped in to produce the video, with the full process taking a month-and-a-half.
