Spider And The Flies have posted unreleased material online for fans to download for free.
Formed by Horrors members Spider Webb and Tomethy Furse, Spider And The Flies released their debut album early this year. The band were inspired by recordings made by the BBC Radiophonic Orchestra, and in particular the work of Delia Derbyshire.
Perhaps most famous for recording the original Doctor Who theme, Derbyshire’s use of primitive electronics resulted in sounds that were years ahead of their time. A true pioneer of British electronic music, her influence is only now beginning to be recognised.
Spider And Flies use antique synthesisers in an attempt to recreate the hot house atmosphere of the Radiophonic Orchestra. Shunning modern developments, the group have earned acclaim through their strict aesthetic.

This could be the last material released by the group for some time. The Horrors made their live comeback on Monday (March 23rd) before an audience packed with indie royalty. The London garage group unveiled tracks from their long awaited second album ‘Primary Colours’.
A quantum leap on from their poorly received debut album, ‘Primary Colours’ is a thrilling, ambitious and downright addictive record that never fails to excite.
The Horrors are set to release their new album ‘Primary Colours’ on May.
