Horrors Album News

Second Album Due Soon

Cult goth-garage act The Horrors are hard at work on their new album, produced by Geoff Barrow of Portishead the record should be available early 2009.

The band have been busy touring since the release of their debut LP “Strange House” in early 2007. A Top 40 success on its release, it established The Horrors as a creative unit, and not just people who wear bizarre clothes.

Live, the band’s shows are a bundle of energy often culminating in a chaotic blend of lights, smoke and noise as The Horror’s grind out a grimy cover of the old sixties classic “Jack The Ripper”.

In a blog on the Young Turk’s website, the band revealed that album sessions with Portishead’s Geoff Barrow have been going well. The Horrors have been busy, but not so busy that frontman Faris Rotter can’t find time to become an expert ‘fantasy footballer’. The singer has picked out a line up that has risen to sixth out of over a million entries in the competition he entered, according to the the blog. His team “Sour Face FC” could yet clinch the crown in time for the album’s release.

There is currently no release date for the new Horrors album.
