One of the greatest voices in the history of Jamaican music is set to tour the UK, with Horace Andy scheduled to play two very rare dates.
One of the singular voices in reggae music, Andy’s high falsetto voice has graced many seminal dubplates. His early 70s anthem ‘Skylarking’ remains one of the most potent slices of pop the island ever produced.
Still a graceful and insightful artist, Horace Andy released his latest album ‘On Tour’ earlier this year.
The new dates are in Bristol and Islington, and the legend will be supported on both dates by the Trojan Soundsystem. Obviously the bulk of Horace Andy’s set will be drawn from his new album, but fans can expect a few classics and the odd curveball from a career that has taken him from Kingston’s dancehalls to working in a studio with Massive Attack.
Horace Andy will play the following dates:
November 13th – Bristol, Carling Academy
November 14th – Islington, Carling Academy
