HONNE, Liang Lawrence Combine For ‘Say That You Will Wait For Me’

"It’s about going away and missing the heck out of someone..."

HONNE and Liang Lawrence combine on new single ‘Say That You Will Wait For Me’.

The UK production team are back, with new album ‘Ouch’ providing an insight into parenthood, responsibility, and artistic independence. Now operating on their own, HONNE have also switched studios, doubling down on their methods in the process.

Out on September 6th, the record is producing some golden singles – and new release ‘Say That You Will Wait For Me’ is the latest.

Lyrically, the track deals with absence – during their long tours, HONNE would be separated from their young families, and that can be difficult to deal with. Brave enough to be open about their emotions, the sweet-sour, push-pull of the song is exemplified by a guest vocal from Liang Lawrence.

HONNE comment…

‘Say That You Will Wait For Me’ is a familiar subject matter for us. It’s about going away and missing the heck out of someone. This song really touches a nerve however, as now I’m a parent, it’s doubly hard to say goodbye and to leave. It’s also heartbreaking to leave your kid behind as when you say goodbye you know they don’t understand that you aren’t coming home that evening. ‘Say That You Will Wait For Me’ is my way of saying please say you’ll remember me when I get back from.

Tune in now.
