Honeyglaze Detail New Album ‘Real Deal’

It's out on September 20th...

Honeyglaze will release new album ‘Real Deal’ on September 20th.

The three-piece won hearts with their self-titled debut album in 2022, with CLASH reviewer Oshen Douglas McCormick stating that the LP presents “an endearing exploration of discovery and truth that leaves the listener with a warm feeling of being heard.”

Snapped up by Fat Possum, Honeyglaze will release their second album this Autumn. Out on September 20th, recording saw the three-piece work with Claudius Mittendorfer (Parquet Courts, Interpol).

New song ‘Don’t is a message of rage – albeit one that cross-references Destiny’s Child immortal ‘Bills Bills Bills’. Anouska Sokolow leads from the front, but it’s a punchy, helter-skelter performance that shows the band at their best.

Anouska comments…

“Based on my favourite Destiny’s Child song ‘bills, bills, bills’ (which is also a song about being done with waste men), ‘Don’t’ was written after the end of a particularly bad relationship and I had this anger at every man I felt had ever wronged me or spoken down to me. It’s really fun to be aggressive and direct sometimes, especially when it’s unexpected.”

Out now, ‘Don’t’ comes with a James Ogram directed music video, in which Anouska Sokolow battles her way past seedy paparazzi.

Tune in now.
