HOMESHAKE, the long-running solo project of Toronto-based musician Peter Sagar, announces his sixth studio album, ‘CD Wallet’, out March 8th via SHHOAMKEE.
Written and recorded during much of last year at Peter’s home studio in Toronto, ‘CD Wallet’ is a tribute and retrospective look at his hometown of Edmonton, and his early fixation with guitar music, captured vividly on the cascading distortion of the title track. Peter explains how the album recalled the “heavy, straightforward indie rock style to impress my childhood self”. It explores the misty-eyed lens of nostalgia; the bristling feelings of childhood and blemished adolescence.
The album announces comes with a visual for ‘CD Wallet’ shot by Jim Larson. It features clips of Peter traveling through his childhood home in Edmonton, visiting places he hasn’t seen since moving away over a decade earlier.
