Holy F*ck Prepare New Album

Canadian synth rockers return

Canadian synth rockers Holy Fuck are to release their new album ‘Latin’ later this year.

Hailing from Toronto, Holy Fuck emerged from a loose knit art collective. Utilising a vast array of archive synths, pedals and even toy guns the band’s live show shuns pre-programming to rely on improvisation.

The band’s stunning live shows made them a cult name, merging Krautrock rhythms with something deeply otherworldly. 2007’s ‘LP’ saw the group gain critical recognition, with Holy Fuck touring to wide acclaim.

Since then, Holy Fuck have taken their time crafting a follow up. A split 12 inch with Foals aside, the Canadian group have spent the best part of two years working on their new album.

Holy Fuck are to release their new album via Young Turks, with ‘Latin’ due for release on May 10th. The news was made public via the Chatroulette website, with the site also streaming a new track from the group.

In the past, Holy Fuck have been a rolling collective which would only solidify in the live environment. For ‘Latin’ however the group have nailed down four members to work on the material as a unit.

The Canadian band were joined by some stellar production gurus, with Holy Fuck working alongside Graham Walsh, Dave Newfeld (Broken Social Scene), D. Sardy (Nine Inch Nails), Eli Janney (Wilco), Paul Epworth (Bloc Party, Primal Scream) and more.

With multiple showcase events planned for SXSW, Holy Fuck have finally come out of their studio seclusion.

Holy Fuck are due to release ‘Latin’ on May 10th.
