What makes a music fan?
The unquestioning adoration? The extensive collection of promotional clobber? The smug knowledge of that mis-pressed B-side? Well, how about proving your mettle by walking from London to Liverpool to catch the MTV Europe Music Awards on November 6th? Yep, that’s a journey of 400kms! But worry not, this isn’t some Ian Botham style charity slogathon.
This is Sony Ericsson’s FanWalk, with guaranteed adventure, high jinks and a fair dose of partying along the way. The FanWalk sees one hundred of Europe’s biggest music fans undertake the journey, leaving London on October 29th, travelling 400kms to Liverpool by November 6th for the MTV EMAs.
Clash was proud to be able to offer the coveted tenth UK position on the FanWalk in one of our great competitions, which sent one lucky reader on the best musical mystery tour of 2008. Also, one of the lucky hundred people taking part in the FanWalk who proves themselves as THE biggest music fan will win the opportunity to present an award at the MTV EMAs show in Liverpool on November 6th.
