The Hidden Cameras are set to turn ten years old with a waltz down memory lane.
A lot can change in ten years. The Hidden Cameras released their home recorded debut album in 2001, when Canada’s music scene was still viewed as being somewhat backward. The first Canadian group to sign with Rough Trade, the band have led a battle charge from the Northern territory.
Along the way, The Hidden Cameras have released some spectacular music. Vast orchestration is mixed with confrontation lyrics, which often explicitly detail their lifestyle. Returning with ‘Origin: Orphan’ in 2009 the band produced their darkest and most mature album yet.
Turning ten years old with their passion undimmed, The Hidden Cameras are streaming a new compilation which includes all aspects of their career. A fantastic refresher for fans, it is also a great starting off point for the rest of us…
