Oh, and a Yeti...

French anti-folk outfit Herman Dune have unleashed a new video featuring a member of Mad Men and a yeti.

Herman Dune like to do things their own way. Sticking to their DIY principles, the band recently formed their own label - Strange Moosic - through which they plan to release their new, self-produced album.

Fortuna POP! are due to give the album a British release, which retains the name 'Strange Moosic'. Little of the new material has been heard, with Herman Dune travelling out to Portland to record the LP.

Now a rather fantastic new video has emerged from the Herman Dune camp. 'Tell Me Something I Don't Know' was shot in Austin, Texas and features Mad Men actor Jon Hamm performing with a cuddly blue Yeti.

Jon Hamm spoke to Interview magazine recently, explaining the concept behind the video. "It's a little story about a lost yeti, a lost little snowman creature, abominable snowman, who is blue and sad because he is lost; and he gets picked up by me, and I decide to try to cheer him up by taking him to a rock-and-roll show in Austin, Texas, which I think works."

'Strange Moosic' is due to be released on June 6th. Herman Dune are also planning a trip to Britain next month, which includes a show with indie pop mainstays Comet Gain.

Opening in Bristol on June 4th, the short tour continues in Brighton before ending in London's XOYO. No Scottish dates? Insert sad face...

4 Bristol Thekla
5 Brighton Coalition
6 London XOYO (with Comet Gain)
