heavy wild Illustrate Their Promise With ‘Death Dreams’

A dark piece of lo-fi guitar pop...

London based heavy wild have shared new single ‘Death Dreams’.

Out now, the single follows a hectic run of shows in the past few months, including a stint supporting Swim Deep. Looking ahead, heavy wild launch their Autumn run with a date at The Grace in London on September 7th, with company from Bloody/Bath.

Dark yet alluring, distorted while still being emphatically pop, heavy wild merge the songwriting prowess of Wunderhorse, say, with Beach Fossils’ gift for atmosphere. Somewhere between the icy splinters of post punk, and a kind of lo-fi take on jangle pop, the band have a palpable darkness to their sound.

New single ‘Death Dreams’ continues their rise, and it was fuelled by a long night of partying in Montreal. The band comment…

“This song marks a slight shift in style from the earlier singles with the energy of the track mirroring the spirit in which it was written, after partying in Montreal last summer, and the emotions and themes it deals with such as grief and the hedonism which can accompany it.”

Tune in now.
