Wild Beasts singer Hayden Thorpe has shared his first solo track, 'Diviner'.
The group ended their time together last year, with the frontman immediately starting work on new material.
New solo track 'Diviner' is the start of something new, but it's such a warm experience to hear his voice once more.
Accompanied by piano, the deft songwriting is reminiscent of Wild Beasts but occupies its own space, its own territory.
Swapping Cumbria for California, 'Diviner' is a beautiful return, one imbued with real grace, and subtle majesty.
"'Diviner' became the first song and the divining rod for what was going to be next," Thorpe says. "There are, if we can wait for them, rare days of alignment. 'Diviner' was written on such a day, my birthday of all days. The curtains were drawn for a while, I went inside. To say I’m delighted to see daylight would be an understatement."
Tune in now.
