Halsey and SUGA combine on a new version of ‘Lilith’.
The track was crafted by Halsey and takes inspiration from the creative universe surrounding the Diablo games series. This re-worked version was constructed for Diablo 4 and it finds Halsey sparring with their old friend Suga.
Speaking recently, Halsey explained that getting involved in Diablo 4 was non-negotiable for them. “As soon as Diablo 4 was announced, I knew I wanted to be a part of the lead-up and launch. Lilith is such an influence on my own art and has informed so many characteristics of my alter-ego,” they explained. “My family has spent many hours together in Sanctuary over the years, so I am here as a fan and as a collaborator.”
Previewing the track on social media, Halsey praised the interaction with their friend Suga. Discussing ‘Lilith (Diablo IV Anthem)’, they said “it goes incredibly hard… we both grew up playing the games & I’ve always wanted to do a concept with SUGA with this type of dark mythology.”
The two work synchronistically on the track. Out now, ‘Lilith (Diablo IV Anthem)’ is huge, a bona fide event release for those two fan armies. Recently describing SUGA as their creative “twin”, Halsey wrote on IG:
“We have the same smile, we have a lot of shared interests, sometimes we even have the same haircut. But I mostly say it because we seem strangely (and sometimes wordlessly) connected on a creative wavelength…”
The video for ‘Lilith (Diablo IV Anthem)’ is outrageous, an incredibly styled immersive world replete with danger, paranoia, and release – tune in now.
