South London producer Halls has unveiled new track 'Reverie' – the latest preview from his forthcoming debut album.
Real name Sam Howard, Halls hails from South London. Matching electronic production to near classical levels of composition, the artist's at times painfully fragile music has a devout, hymnal quality which is difficult to shake off.
Debut album 'Ark' will be released later this year, with No Pain In Pop once again helping to support the producer. Halls has posted a number of previews, with album track 'Reverie' the latest to emerge.
Opening with a gently strummed acoustic guitar, the recording is so intimate that you hear Howard's hands slipping on the frets. Using bass frequencies to claustrophobic effect, his voice seems to fade away into the ether.
