Atlanta singer-songwriter Halle – one half of sister duo Chloe x Halle – pivots to a new era with the release of her new solo single, ‘Because I Love You’.
‘Because I Love You’ follows Halle’s previous solo single, ‘In Your Hands‘, an epic torch song that conveyed Halle’s expressive vocal chops. ‘Because I Love You’, co-written with Raye and produced by Grammy-nominated producer DemJointz, is by turns darker, veering into a sonorous adult contemporary RnB sound, introducing a more emboldened side of Halle. The song was previewed on Instagram Live alongside a few other new songs, which are expected to be part of a full-length project.
Of the single, Halle shares: “‘Because I Love You’ is a song for anyone who has ever been deeply in love. It’s an anthem that tells the story of all of the beautiful passion and euphoria you can feel with that person.”
The song arrives with a video produced by Lottie Abrahams and directed by Allie Avital. The cinematic visual sees Halle embody the video vixens of yesteryear, assuming the role of the devoted girlfriend to her paramour and the temptress threatening to pull them apart.
Of the accompanying visual, Halle says: “The video dives deeper into how vulnerable it makes you feel. I hope people enjoy listening and thinking of the person they love the most.”
