Guud Grief have bounced back with a brand new single, ‘These Kids Just Wanna Be Famous’.

A bitter-sweet offering from the Dublin outfit, the track weaves between gritty acoustics, poetry and song. Incorporating elements of blues, rock and punk, the band observe the landscape around them and piece together impactful verses, one’s that form their self-described “rugged rhythms of community”.

Establishing themselves across Ireland’s live circuit, Guud Grief continue to hone their performance as an ensemble.  Making their debut with 2022’s ‘Lay In The River’,  a resonant, downtempo introduction, the band now lean into a more versatile and rebellious sound, reflecting on the work of Rumi, Nick Cave, Nina Simone and Leonard Cohen.

Capturing sentiments of escapism, rebellion and euphoria, ‘These Kids Just Wanna Be Famous’ opens a new era for Guud Grief, arriving alongside Kuba Wargola-directed visuals.

Speaking on their latest release, the band share: “Music is a sacred force, and we want our songs to strip away the masks of superficiality.”
