US rock gods Guns N Roses have reportedly erased Queen guitarist Brian May’s contribution to forthcoming album ‘Chinese Democracy’.
The rock group are gearing up to release their first album of original material in 17 years, with long rumored and often dismissed record ‘Chinese Democracy’ set to be released in the UK on November 24th. Now down to just Axl Rose from the group’s original members, the singer recruited a number of musicians to complete the record.
Brian May recorded a guitar part for the song ‘Catcher N The Rye’, which is set to be included on the new album. However, May’s contribution seems to have been erased.
In an online chat the guitarist said “well, it is a shame, perhaps … I did put quite a lot of work in, and was proud of it.”
“But I could understand if Axl wants to have an album which reflects the work of the members of the band as it is right now.”
The forthcoming record cost more than $2 million to make, and has been fourteen years in the making. Guns N Roses release ‘Chinese Democracy’ on November 24th.
