Hugely successful after pub entertainment ‘Guitar Hero’ has confirmed the line up for its latest instalment.
Developed by Neversoft, Guitar Hero has become a sensation. Allowed fans to trade licks as some of the most iconic guitarists of all time, the game has sold millions of copies around the world.
‘Guitar Hero’ and rival game ‘Rock Band’ have also entered the world of entertainment. Both games offer special band-orientated add ons, with ‘Rock Band’ recently announcing a very special edition inspired by The Beatles.
However ‘Guitar Hero’ are set to strike back with their fifth instalment. Covering some of the finest guitar anthems of all time, the game blends the old with the new to cause thumb thrashing fury.

Amongst the new list are some unusual additions. Elliot Smith was never known for his air guitar antics, with the Portland songwriter becoming renowned for his tortured lyrics and meditative sound.
However Smith’s classic song ‘L.A.’ sits alongside Jeff Beck and John Mellencamp. In addition to the partial list, games website Joystiq has announced that it has managed to get hold of the full tracklisting for the game.
“We toiled six days a week and pulled together previously announced artists and trusted sources to obtain the complete (though not officially confirmed) set of tracks,” the website states.
