Guillemots Score Eraserhead

Band Rework Lynch Epic

UK group Guillemots are set for an unusual project with the band preparing to unveil their alternate score to David Lynch’s bizarre epic “Eraserhead”.

The film was released in 1979 to general disdain, but has become a cult object amongst fans of outsider cinema. Typical of Lynch, the film is highly stylised and is regarded as a masterpiece in direction.

The band will perform a score alongside the restored version of the film at this year’s Future Cinema live event. Guillemots will improvise music to go along with the film, and will be accompanied by dancers in an exciting multi-discipline performance. It is worth pointing out at this point that lead Guillemot Fyfe Dangerfield comes from a classical background, and so this project will no doubt be treated with the same diligence that the band treat all their works.

Normal service resumes on Saturday with the band set to play the Uncut Arena at Latitude.

Guillemots play the Future Cinema event on Friday 18th July.
