Fans are able to pre-order a limited edition bundle of the new Tony Da Gatorra vs Gruff Rhys album.
As lead singer of Super Furry Animals Gruff Rhys is used to strange projects. The Welsh singer was invited to trace the adventures of his uncle, who joined a Welsh exodus to the South American area of Patagonia.
A Welsh enclave developed in the area, one of the more curious British imperial adventures. Gruff Rhys filmed a documentary in South America, and along the way he met an unusual young musician.
A television repairman by trade, Tony Da Gatorra invented his own instrument. A cross between a machine gun and a guitar, the musician caught the imagination of the Super Furry Animals singer.
The resulting album is one of the most unusual in Gruff Rhys’ career. ‘The Terror Of Cosmic Loneliness’ is due for release this summer, an extremely inventive collaboration between two individual talents.
The pair are set to unite for a series of shows, including performances at Camp Bestival and two nights in Cardiff.
You can stream preview track ‘In A House With No Mirrors (You’ll Never Get Old)’ on the Turnstile website right now. Click HERE to hear the track!
Alongside this, fans are able to pre-order ‘The Terror Of Cosmic Loneliness’ as part of a very limited and exclusive pre-order bundle. The album itself comes with a limited edition t-shirt and CD copy of the album three weeks before release.
Tony Da Gatorra had a brief message to fans: “Hello, peace my brothers, this record was made with lots of feelings and true love to bring consciousness and show a little bit of truth that needs to be said without hypocrisy.”
“We are creatures of God, so there’s no death. Spirit is light, all evil won’t prevail – there’s no evil when it crashes with goodwill.”
