Groove Armada usher in their eagerly awaited return with the release of their new track ‘Warsaw’, taken from their hotly anticipated new album ‘Black Light’.
Groove Armada will make their new track ‘Warsaw’ available immediately after its worldwide premiere which is on Radio One from 7 pm on September 4th. It will be released as a free download for a period of two weeks exclusively only on the band’s official site.
Produced by Groove Armada, the big beat duo made up by Andy Cato and Tom Findlay, and co-written by Nick Littlemore from PNAU & Empire Of The Sun, the free download offers a taste for their new record Black Light, which will be their first release on GA Recordings in a worldwide partnership with Cooking Vinyl.
“Free of all major label agendas, we have made the record we wanted to make”, said Andy Cato in a statement to fans. “We got that same combination of live band and electronics going in the studio that have made Groove Armada live special”.
“We found vocalists that would keep working with us until it was right. There have been some difficult months, but maybe that’s why they are the best songs we have written. If we had to choose one record for the time capsule, this is it.”
Next month, Groove Armada return to the UK for the first time since their headline performance at the Lovebox festival in 2007, a one-day Irish festival which they host themselves. They will unveil their all-new 6-date ‘Black Light’ tour with a series of exclusive shows and parties in the UK.
