Grimes had an uncomfortable experience at Coachella, with tech issues hindering her DJ set.
The desert festival swings into its second day, with a headline performance from Tyler, the Creator. Joined by a host of special guests, the Odd Future creator brought a touch of the unexpected to the glitzy West Coast event.
Elsewhere, Grimes battled against technology to complete her DJ set. The electronic creative played to a massive crowd at Coachella, who clearly expected something memorable – and it was, although perhaps for some unexpected reasons.
Must of the tracks in Grimes’ DJ set played at double the expected speed, making mixing on-the-stop virtually impossible. Watch a clip below.
Grimes’ tracks are at double tempo for some reason and she’s tried to explain like 6 times now she can’t mix them on the fly 💀 pic.twitter.com/U7J8R0PddC

Clips from the Coachella live-stream soon circulated, and the internet was unrelenting in its mockery:

For the most part, however, Grimes took it all in her stride. At one point, she started to joke with the crowd about her tech issues, commenting: “You know what, being bad at Math is not a sin…”

And in fairness, a number of online onlookers warmed to her chutzpah – at the very least, Grimes seemed to be having a good time up there.
okay but love how GRIMES seemed to enjoying lip syncing Baddie lyrics tho pic.twitter.com/T7jUdHBAzD
