Griff Shares ‘One Night (Stripped Version)’

Ahead of her upcoming live shows...

Griff has shared a stripped back version of her song 'One Night'.

The BRIT winner released her debut mixtape over the summer, with 'One Foot In Front Of The Other' presenting a highly individual voice.

A select batch of UK shows kick off later this week, ending with a night at Shepherd's Bush Empire in London on October 27th.

Ahead of this, Griff has shared a new version of 'One Night', a glorious centre-piece on her mixtape.

Stripped back, this potent rendering removes the production gloss to show the inner workings of her songwriting.

Buoyed by that refulgent, emotive vocal, 'One Night' emerges as something striking and emotive.

She comments…

'One Night' is about feeling like you’re always carrying this darkness or burden. I think in the daytime we can feel distracted because we’re around people and we’re busy, but that moment between going to bed and falling asleep, there’s just enough silence for those burdens to get louder. Essentially this song is trying to understand why I can’t shake it, and the chorus comes to this breaking point of desperately wanting at least ‘One Night’ alone.

Tune in now.

Catch Griff at the following shows:

October
22 Glasgow King Tuts
23 Manchester Deaf Institute
25 Birmingham O2 Academy 3
27 London O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire
