Morden natives Good Shoes have announced their comeback with a new download and a massive UK tour.
Beginning as a hobby, four piece indie poppers Good Shoes quickly realised that they had something unique. Earning a cult following on the London music scene that band were picked up by the likes of XFM and Steve Lamacq as something different.
Debut album ‘Think Before You Speak’ was released in 2007, but the band were dealt a blow when their record label folded. Left unsigned, Good Shoes were forced into a number of line up changes as the future of the band appeared to be in doubt.
However the Morden lads appear to be on the verge of an unlikely comeback after completing their second album. Eschewing the lavish production of their peers Good Shoes have opted for a DIY approach for their new material.
Retreating to their friends basements and bedrooms around London the band have taken their time in recording their new material. Good Shoes are now preparing to release the first track from the forthcoming album, titled ‘The Way My Heartbeats’.
Available as a free download, it has already been snapped up by thousands of fans. Good Shoes previewed the new material with the last ever set at London’s Astoria, and are now preparing to head out on a massive new tour.
“We’re trying to play every place in the country basically…we’re visiting towns we’ve been to loads of times and also places we’ve never been before! Nice intimate gigs are what we’ve been enjoying recently so hopefully the fun will carry on!”.
