Good Shoes release their new single on November 26th. Entitled “Small Town Girl” it comes out on Brille Records, and tells the story of a young country girl who winds up living in the hills of Hollywood. Of course, its all a coincidence that singer Rhys went to school with Keira Knightly…
The song was originally released on a strictly limited edition 7 inch format, put out by the Young & Lost label. Re-recorded with Stephen Street (The Smiths, Blur) the track has taken on another razor-sharp level, as the band seek to articulate small town ennui, and their own escape from it.
“Small Town Girl” is released on November 26th.
