Gypsy punks Gogol Bordello are back in the UK for their biggest tour to date. The jaunt kicks off at Hammersmith Apollo on December 8th and finishes in the Sheffield Leadmill on December 18th. They visit Glasgow ABC on December 13th for what will no doubt be a gig of legendary performances: one of the world’s most energetic live bands in front of a Glasgow audience. Doesn’t get any more enticing does it?
To coincide with the tour Sideonedummy Records are releasing the band’s new single entitled “Supertheory of Supereverything” , and with lines like “I don’t read the bible / I don’t trust disciples” its perfect for that Yuletime number one spot.
In the New Year lead singer Eugene Hutz takes one of the lead roles in Madonna’s directorial debut, the short film “Filth & Wisdom”. The film is due out in January 2008.
