GOAT have shared new song ‘Do The Dance’.
The reclusive Swedish group broke cover recently, sharing their first blast of new material in almost five years. New album ‘Oh Death’ is incoming, and it marks a return to the fray for the masked psychedelic community.
Out on October 21st – order it online – the record is trailed by urgent, addictive new single ‘Do The Dance’. Tapping into a primitive but insistent groove, it feels like those early Adam & The Ants cuts blasted through a hallucinogenic mainframe.
The bass spasms wriggle down your spine, with GOAT’s half-chanted vocals reminiscent of a Samhain incantation. GOAT comment…
“After the annual feast with the Gods of Funk, Goat went to an afterparty with some of the Great Gods of Groove. Some time early in the morning, around 4am, one of the singers of Goat found herself intertwined in a hot dance with the Supreme Mastergod of hipshaking. He tried to outshake her but was way over his head, there was no way he could ever outshake a Goat banshee strungout on gods knows what! Suddenly his hip broke with a loud snap and Goat was thrown out on the street. The singers went home and wrote this profound poetry about the experience.“
The full video for ‘Do The Dance’ is online now, crafted by Tom Brewins and featuring Hannah Mason as the dancer.
