Scottish indie legends The Delgados have reformed.
The band built a truly special catalogue during their initial run, with albums such as 2000's 'The Great Eastern' remaining one of the best Scotland has ever produced.
Parting company, Emma Pollock went on to enjoy a stellar solo career, while other members focussed on independent imprint Chemikal Underground.
Now it seems the Delgados have reformed, with a run of live shows slated for January 2023.
In a note, the band said:
“When we started The Delgados in 1994, it instantly felt effortless and simple. There was a synergy and a chemistry. Four people pulling in different directions, but towards the same destination. Two of us couldn’t play very well and two couldn’t play at all but that unlearned sensitivity was our guide. Fast forward 25 or so years – the band has been split up for 15 of them – and we're driving to (Mogwai’s) Stuart Braithwaite’s wedding. We’ve spent hardly any time with each other for over a decade and like before it's effortless, simple… and the thought occurs that it might be good to play together once again."
The run opens in Brighton on January 20th, with highlights including London on January 21st – Shepherds Bush Empire – and a show at Glasgow's Barrowlands on January 25th.
Tickets are on sale from Friday (June 10th) at 10am.
