Glorietta is a project born from many voices.
A group of friends who decided to make an album together, the cast alone is mouth-watering – in all, sessions featured (deep breath!) Noah Gundersen, Kelsey Wilson(Wild Child), David Ramirez, Grammy award winner Adrian Quesada (Brownout, Black Pumas), Jason Robert Blum and Matthew Logan Vasquez.
Rooting themselves in Santa Fe, guests would come and go, including spots from the one and only Nathaniel Rateliff, who drove through the night to lay down some vocals.
As for the location, Matthew Logan Vasquez explains: “We chose Santa Fe because it was isolated enough to where it would feel like we were at camp,” said Vasquez, “the only requirements were that the house had vaulted ceilings and a Jacuzzi.”
Self-titled new album 'Glorietta' arrives on August 24th, with a full physical edition – CD and vinyl – landing on September 21st via Bread & Butter.
New song 'Losers Lament' airs via Clash, a patchwork of voices working towards one aim, a sterling, buoyant, breezy piece of songwriting that pits indie influences against elements of Americana.
Much more than the sum of its part, Glorietta's 'Losers Lament' seems to take on a life of its own. Infectious songwriting laced with character, you can check it out below.
