Glasvegas frontman James Allan has apparently blamed former Libertine Carl Barat for his recent visa troubles.
The Scots rockers were forced to cancel a gig in Boston on September 29th due to their visa’s not being processed in time for the show. In an interview with Scots red top the Daily Record frontman James Allan revealed that a heavy night boozing with Carl Barat led to him missing his appointment with officials the next day.
“Carl came along to our gig in London and afterwards I chilled out with him and ended up missing the appointment in the morning,” he said.
“He’s aware of it and is aware that he cost me a few thousand quid,” the singer/guitarist added. “We sat all night with a typewriter and piano and had some fun singing.”
Carl Barat will have plenty of time on his hands to craft an apology – he split long term project Dirty Pretty Things yesterday (October 1st).
Allan, meanwhile, has been beset with bad luck since drinking with Barat – he finally arrived in America and promptly lost his mobile phone.
