Glasvegas On Christmas LP

Band Rush To Finish Album

Much hyped Scottish four piece Glasvegas have discussed their new Christmas themed album ‘A Snowflake Fell (And It Felt Like A Kiss)’.

The band have been one of the most talked about acts of 2008, with their self titled debut album polarizing opinion. For the faithful, though, they connect with their audience in a way that perhaps no British band has since the rise of Oasis.

Glasvegas’ new Christmas themed album will be released alongside an expanded version of their debut album. Singer James Allan revealed to the BBC that the making of the album was far from filled with seasonal bliss.

“One of the guys working on the record was that tired he started hallucinating. He saw somebody in a chequed shirt waving at him in the studio.”

The album was recorded in Transylvania, and features a stunning version of ‘Silent Night’. “We chose Silent Night because the words are so beautiful,” James said.

“When I first started thinking about these songs I always knew that song was the one that was going to close it. I don’t know why. It just felt right.”

Glasvegas release their new Christmas themed album ‘A Snowflake Fell (And It Felt Like A Kiss)’ on December 1st.
