Radio 1’s annual ‘In New Music We Trust’ Christmas party has announced its line up, with Scots doom-pop merchants Glasvegas set to headline a bill that will include Florence And The Machine and many more.
Hosted by SWN head Huw Stephens and the legendary Steve Lamacq the night will showcase the best in up and coming music. Glasvegas will see out a fantastic year for the group with a headline slot, while Golden Silvers, Chipmunk and Chase And Status are also set to perform.
The show takes place in the famous Maida Vale studios in London. Stephens said in a recent interview that “the In New Music We Trust Christmas Party is going to be a celebration of some of the most exciting new artists we’ve been playing across Radio 1 in 2008.”
“It’ll be a live music feast! Glasvegas and Florence And The Machine are incredible live performers, there’s Chipmunk’s ace grime, the drum and bass artists of the year Chase n Status, the refreshing Friendly Fires and my tip for ’09 Golden Silvers. It’s going to be a lot of fun and a great listen.”
‘In New Music We Trust Christmas Party’ takes place on December 22nd in the Maida Vale Studios, London.
