GIT Award 2016 Launches

Entries now open...

Liverpool's GIT Award is now open for entries.

The award was set up by Peter Guy of Mersey music magazine Getintothis, and has reached national prominence over the following instalments.

Toasting its fifth anniversary, the lucky winner will pick up a £1000 prize – something that could prove enormously useful to any developing artist.

The GIT Award 2016 will launch on January 29th at Liverpool's Buyers Club and will include performances from Pink Kink, Nelson and The Nelson Cafe.

Richard O’Flynn, from All We Are, said: "Getting nominated for, and then winning the GIT Award in 2015 was a great moment for us. As always, Liverpool is full of amazing bands and artists and to win the Award was both a surprise and a massive honour. The prize money was invested back into touring and was well appreciated. The support we get from the scene in Liverpool is amazing and we'll always give it right back. We’re looking forward to next year!"

Fancy entering? Send your four tracks to the judging panel at [email protected].

The winner of the GIT Award 2016 will be announced at Constellations in Liverpool on May 14th.
